Medium to deep ruby-purple, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Sylvia Drive Vineyard opens with classic aromas of cassis and chocolate-covered cherries with a minerally vein, plus aromas of redcurrant, warm earth, charcuterie, cedar, cigar and exotic spices. 2014 Gordenker Sylvia Drive

Cabernet Sauvignon

Moon Mountain AVA

$95

Library Wine - (150 Cases produced)

The aroma’s are all consuming and intoxicating. It needs a second to pop out of the glass so decanting would help, but you are greeted with beautiful lifted aromatics of violets and lavender. Desert fruit sauce characteristics of plum, blackberry, and black cherries. True elegance to this wine, perfectly balanced with no hard edges and an ethereal like feel to it. Entrance builds to bigger berry weight, firm with spice but balanced moving into a long finish. The acidity is mouthwatering and the wine holds itself with graceful poise. This wine needs time, but does not hesitate to amuse the senses currently.
